We're not the only ones
Both the Village and Town of East Hampton, New York was set to conduct a deer cull conducted by sharpshooters, but stopped-- following vigorous opposition. Opponents initiated a petition drive and staged a rally attended by several hundred people in the heart of the Hamptons. Activists sued the village and town, prompting the Village mayor to say they were cancelling their plans to cull. Read more in the New York Times here.
